If you are sincere, are you really a troll? Maybe the term he needs is Social Justice Warrior (SJW)?

It is. Long, a little dense, but it shows the chaos that follows abandonment of moral absolutes.

Long, a little dense ...

Yes, that's typical. His structure is more of an "ascending spiral," with restatement and amplification building up to the conclusion, rather than "topic-support-closure."

However, I thought that in this piece he really developed the way so much culture has devolved into nothing more than nihilistic nastiness, serving no purpose but to feed the troll's unwarranted sense of superiority.

This article should be read twice to get its significance. Best read back to back it is one of Greenfield’s most obtuse and best elucidation of our current cultural state.
Assignment: Delineate the role Trump plays in this deconstruction with special attention to the impact of his candidacy on the PC aspects of cynical trolling.
If that does not twist your brain you are either not paying attention or your are far beyond my ken.

I think you mean "acute" (sharp), rather than "obtuse" (dull).

Say what you will about this article, but it describes a lot of what I have read on this site (freerepublic) lately regarding the back and forth over Crump and Truz.

“I think you mean “acute” (sharp), rather than “obtuse” (dull).”

Authenticious.

I don't know how many eons it would have taken me to be able to verbalize this. I'm grateful to Daniel Greenfield for putting it in words. Everyone should read.

It is a great article if you understand Greenfield's style. I wouldn't recommend it to a first time reader, however.

They will look at an isolated statement like this and think he's gone off the deep end: A total breakdown in civility can be refreshing.

I'm amazed at the number of otherwise clear rational people who get the vapors over random statements of Donald Trump as if he invented the total breakdown in civility. He did not come even close.

Anybody remember BO's tactics after he was elected and before and just after he took office? Office of the President Elect? Making his contempt clear for his predecessor? He could have just quietly skipped his predecessor's farewell address to the nation, but had to make it very public.

Compare and contrast that boorish behavior to Ronald Reagan who had the class and decency to ask Jimmy Carter to go represent him at Andrews Air Force base as the hostages returned from Iran.

I used the word “obtuse” to describe the average reader’s take on his complex thoughts.

When I was younger, I did not understand how Mao could whip up the youngsters of his Red Guard and direct them to tear down all the intellectual, cultural ideas of China. But now I see the “progressive” propaganda machine whipping up the Social Justice Warriors and Black Lives Matter mob. I now am fearful of the pillaging of the American political, intellectual, and cultural ideas.
