This is Doug Wilson, a heretic and defender of pedophiles in his own congregation. He upholds that loathsome abomination known as the Federal Vision. He also went on a deception campaign when his big idea to officiate and approve the marriage of a convicted pedophile with a young woman of his church reached its logical conclusion.
Donald Trump 2016
The author of this blather says of himself:
“ I want to advance what you might call a Chestertonian Calvinism, and to bring that attitude to bear on education, sex and culture, theology, politics, book reviews, postmodernism, expository studies, along with other random tidbits that come into my head. My perspective is usually not hard to discern. In theology I am an evangelical, postmill, Calvinist, Reformed, and Presbyterian, pretty much in that order. In politics, I am slightly to the right of Jeb Stuart. In my cultural sympathies, if we were comparing the blight of postmodernism to a vast but shallow goo pond, I would observe that I have spent many years on these stilts and have barely gotten any of it on me.”
I got it all over my shoes just walking into his cesspool enough to copy and paste the above. What a pantload.
When did “comparison” become a verb?
“...I would rather be dead in a ditch than vote for Trump, and I will enthusiastically throw my vote away. I will vote third party, or write in somebody. If I vote for “the Donald” it will be because I wrote in Donald Duck. Whatever it is, I will make sure it is a vain gesture. But I wonder if there will be more people with me than usual...”
Given the “cult of personality” effect that Trump enjoys, that alone would likely prove an increase sufficient to overcome any who “will enthusiastically throw their vote away”. It would at least be a wash (I think).
So bottom line, I don’t think the Trump camp is too concerned about those who would spoil their vote. I believe those like the author can take a bit of comfort knowing that they can vote their conscience this time without impacting the election too much.
I’m standing with Cruz in the primaries and whoever opposes the dem in the general, so I’m obviously biased.
