I agree. The other candidates don’t get it on the economy. Trump does.
Cruz is a solid guy and one of my top picks, but the reason Trump is better is because Trump has a small chance of winning, while Cruz has no chance of winning and will get caught under a 400 electoral vote avalanche.
I want Trump's thugs in the embassador seats and negotiating rooms
America is alright and will recover when the threat to our American identity is eliminated
WE are not (I have deduced) all that concerned about the economy (We Americans go to work, earn money, pay our bills and raise our families)
We're not all that concerned about the invaders, even ... because .. though we hesitate NOW ... we won't always be so easy going and we're quite capable of taking on an aggressor
What we rebel against the most today is the falling away of our American identity
PC and incremental invasion has infiltrated our culture to where we are a shadow of "American", and IMO ... THAT'S the root of all the uneasiness in our nation
Mexicans successfully jumping the border are pains in the ass people that eat up our resources ... but we can deal with that
Mexicans jumping the border, eating up our resources and instilling a culture foreign to American is a psychological invasion that can no longer be tolerated
Back in the say we called it mind f*** and I see it prevalent now
They HAVE used our freedoms, our laws and our goodness against us and ... I want some badass thugs negotiating
There's a ton of stereotypical jokes out there if we would only let Vinnie and Guido handle the prisoner exchanges (f'rinstance)
Maybe we should stop jokin' around
President Trump
In a phone interview with CNN Tuesday evening, Trump claimed that there's "something in the Iran deal" that "people don't understand" saying if someone attacks Iran, "we have to come to their defense."
"Does that include Israel?" Trump asked. "And most people say yes, they don't have an exclusion for Israel. So if Israel attacks Iran, according to that deal, I believe, the way it reads, unless they have a codicil or they have something to it, that we have to fight with Iran against Israel." ..."
Trump was most probably referring to language highlighted by the opponents of the deal. On page 142, the deal includes a clause that states, "Co-operation through training and workshops to strengthen Iran's ability to protect against, and respond to nuclear security threats, including sabotage, as well as to enable effective and sustainable nuclear security and physical protection systems."
Washington-based Center for Security Policy asserted that Annex III appears "to commit the United States and other world powers to the defense of Iran's nuclear program."

RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil -- Russia's push into Ukraine has put many on edge. But less known is that Russia is also strengthening its military links south of the Rio Grande and re-establishing itself as a power in the region.
Vladimir Putin has been strengthening military links here, and Russia is now the largest arms dealer to governments in Latin America, surpassing the United States.
Russia has even floated the possibility of building new military bases in Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua, and putting its warships permanently in the Caribbean.
In the midst of the Ukraine crisis, Russia's top diplomat Sergei Lavrov recently visited Cuba, Peru, Chile, and Nicaragua, where he announced that Russia would also pour money into the new Central American canal project. ..."

Russia agreed to provide military training for three leftist regimes in Latin America and increase military visits and exercises following a visit last week to the region by Moscow's Defense Minister Sergei Shoygu, Pentagon officials said.
Shoygu met with defense and military leaders in Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua and signed several agreements on warship visits and military training during the visit, which ran from Feb. 11 to 14. It is not clear whether any new arms deals were completed during the visit.
Defense officials said the Russian leader is seeking bases in the region for strategic bomber flights that Shoygu recently promised would include flights over the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean.

I think the message is that rather than being a Christian organization, some of these groups operating under the banner of middle-east Christians in the US are really pro-Iranian agit-prop outfits, and to be regarded skeptically.
Now that makes sense.
Thank you for informing me of this.
That way we get the best of both worlds.
The problem for me is that one must win the election in order to end up being President.
Winning the election and performing as President are two different things.
Which one is better at winning ? If we don’t have a winner, what that candidate might do as President seems a moot point.
And your line of reasoning is?
I see no evidence whatsoever that Cruz will get crushed in the Electoral College.
I do see polling evidence that says that Cruz is currently tied with (or a bit ahead of Clinton) and that Trump is slightly behind her.
Notice how this writer supports Cruz, while NOT ATTACKING Trump...since they both have very good qualities.
This is what HONEST CRUZ SUPPORTERS do. The ones that ATTACK Trump, especially on a personal level, I’m beginning to think, don’t want either. Perhaps they’re on the payroll of one if the kiddie-candidates, or just a supporter of of one of the kiddie-candidates. Remember, there is A LOT OF MONEY in the hands of the kiddie-candidates and their PACs - and they need to spend it in some way...and we are a very well-known conservative site, so perhaps here is a good place to start.
Our enemies think Trump is Crazy—he is a madman who might blow up the world! They will not chalenge him—this was something Reagan did well. Not knowing how Trump will react they go for peace with the blombastic New Yorker. Arabs know this—they will fight you but if they think they will lose, they will go all smiles and make a deal—they are also great deal makers. Saladin, the Great Kurdish leader won every battle he fought-—until he met Richard Lionheart. Not being able to beat him—he made a deal and let Christians enter Jerusalem to pray—while Richard had to take care of things at home.
Middle Eastern Christians have been anti-Israel for a good long time. The founder of the Baath Party, Michel Aflaq was a ME Christian. Bobby Kennedy's assassin, Sirhan Sirhan is a ME Christian. George Habash, the founder of the PFLP terrorist group, was a ME Christian. In general, ME Christians have been Arab nationalists, and that basically means Israelis must be driven into the sea. Maybe your personal experience has been different, but my recollection of the Christian Arabs I have known is pretty much wall-to-wall opposition to the existence of Israel. Christian Arab politicians from John Sununu and Darrell Issa in the GOP to pretty much every Democratic pol have been anti-Israel for as long as I remember. Christian Arabs are allowed to enlist in the IDF, but very few do. A big reason is the Arab animus, regardless of religion, against the state of Israel. It's only now, after Christian communities in the Middle East have been subjected to large scale pogroms and genocidal slaughter, that Christian Arabs in Israel are starting to change their minds about the Jewish state as protector of Christians instead of oppressor of Arabs.
I see. Thanks for the education. That actually makes sense. It is just so foreign to me as an American Christian. It’s just shocking. Makes no sense theologically or any other way. I do see how being Arab would color their thinking now that you mention it.
Christian Arabs have serious Stockholm Syndrome. Spaniards never liked their Muslim conquerors and finally drove them out in the 15th century after almost 800 years of occupation. Christian Arabs have grown to identify with Muhammad's descendants (originally from what is now Saudi Arabia) despite over a thousand years of Muslim persecution of ME Christians.
Cruz’s big defect is that he’s selling conservative philosophy by marketing the features of the philosophy. Features don’t sell, benefits sell.
Hillary will be out there selling benefits.
You’d think that after seven years of Barack Obama, the public would be hot for a principled conservative to remedy the glaring defects. I just honestly don’t think they are.
I honestly think that Hillary is the favorite to win in 2016, so we may as well roll the dice.
If Cruz is the nominee, I’ll vote for him, but I’m certain it will be an early, losing night.
Maybe I’m wrong.
I think liberals worldwide suffer from some variation of Stockholm Syndrome as it relates to Muslim terrorists. Nothing else explains their over identifying with them and against the victims.
Cruz isn’t philosophizing, he’s got a conservative agenda that he’s promoting (if you were paying attention).
Hillary C. while not an easy defeat is damaged.
Don’t you worry, Ted C, Donald T or (really most other) Republicans will do fine against her.
Poll FReep: If the election were held today, who would be your first choice for President of the United States?
