Demonstrators called for Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman to prosecute the officers involved in the fatal shooting incident, according to a statement. He led the crowd in several chants and referred several times to protesters' plans to rally at the Mall of America on Wednesday. Dozens of people were charged, but charges against the protest's 11 organizers have been dismissed.
A protest at the mall last December 20 disrupted holiday shopping and prompted the mall to temporarily close some stores. State and federal investigations are underway.
"Mall of America will continue to prohibit protests on its property no matter how righteous the cause might be", Gaertner said.
The mall "intends to use whatever methods it can, whatever remedies it has, to communicate that message and to try to prevent the protest from happening", she added. Cahill also said a private property owner might seek civil damages against those who engage in conduct that results in lost profits or property rights.
A 4th Precinct officer shot and killed Clark on November 15. Police said Clark was struggling and reaching for an officer's gun, while witnesses and activists maintain that Clark was handcuffed when he was shot in the head.

The Coalition for Justice for Jamar Clark started the rally at the 4th Precinct police station in north Minneapolis just before 1 p.m.
Clark's death sparked more than two weeks of protests, including an encampment at the local police precinct, downtown marches and the shutdown of Interstate 94, which led to 42 arrests.
"Jamar's family deserves justice this Christmas, and until they get it, there will be no peace", the activist group wrote on a Facebook page for the event.
Head to the south side of Chicago instead and preach to the homies.
I hardly ever buy anything in a mall but I do like to walk in them when it's rainy or really cold outside. I don't just circle the mall but I like to walk the perimeters of the anchor stores as well on both levels. I can get as much as 6,000 to 7,000 steps walking an average sized mall in this way without re-crossing my steps (which might arouse the curiosity of the mall cops).
In the Mall of America, I could probably get about 20,000 steps in.
That’s going to go well.
Bring the guns up to the deck.
Load with grape.
Prepare to repel boarders.
Taze them and drag their sorry arses out.
I hope that the LEOs use the Baltimore method of demonstration response.
Send Jeb to give a speech there.
I dont see Black Fecal Lives Matter protesting the murder of that 15 year old boy who was shielding his friends from being shot, nah doesn’t fit the narrative, black thugs killing a football player who died a hero, doesnt fit the BLM storyline
I doubt the MOA will do anything to stop protestors.
water cannons outside. sue whatever “official” organization is sponsoring this.
The name of their group makes about as much sense as the ‘affordable health care act’. They both mean exactly the opposite of what they are called.
Yep,it’s called Marxism. Destroy the meaning of words, language, etc.
BLM (except in Chicago) protesters hold placards that read, “Justice for Jamar.” How about “Justice for Jamar’s Victims?” Jamar was a street thug with a record who would be alive today if he didn’t challenge police. How many young blacks get shot by cops in a library or museum?
The MOA is in Bloomington not Minneapolis. They chose the MOA for media traction and because Minneapolis doesn’t have a pot to piss in. Last year’s fiasco cost a fair bit of change and the Bloomington legal team is still prosecuting for damages in LEO overtime, etc., etc. If they are so stupid as to do it again, then by all means do it. Bleed them dry. Heck, find a way to use RICO laws, too.
This nonsense will only end when judges stop giving such people slaps on the wrist and immediately let them go. In the meantime, businesses should file lawsuits against them both individually and as a group. And ask for restraining orders against them for the duration of the lawsuit.
I’m sure you are right.
Unfortunately, a local middle school choir has already cancelled their Christmas concert scheduled for that day at the MOA.
Nobody will notice. That place is ginormous.
Often referred to by many locals as: Mall of Africa, due to bands of roving feral urban youth that frequent the place.
Once again, our domestic terrorists interfering with American commerce and threatening law abiding citizens, preventing them from exercising their freedoms. It seems to me that I remember law enforcement could restrict protestors to a designated number of feet from businesses and roads. What happened to those rules? Obama?
Apparently, the Middle School Choir came to the same conclusion.
That MOA would not be able to protect them.
Sad.
