The professional apparatus of the Republican Party are signaling their intent to do exactly what we predicted they would do. Trump will win the primary, and the GOPe will split the party to run an additional candidate in the general election.
It’s not Trump going third party – It’s the establishment GOP (GOPe) intending to go third party. They are planning a modified version of the Mississippi Strategy from 2014.

I’m not buying it, and I’m really beginning to wonder where all of theses speculations about what the GOPe might do are coming from.
Most of them make no sense.
If trump becomes president i could see him then creating a new party once in power and inviting congressional republicans and the remnants of the blue dog dems to join it dealing a major blow to both establisment parties.
What the American people fail to understand is that the GOPe (and the establishment as a whole) don’t care about what we want. It’s about what they want.
Isn’t that basically the point? GOPe pulls a split, leaving Trump to run against their candidate - who is most likely Cruz - so it’s Trump v Cruz v Hillary.
The GOP are gutless and do not have the strength to go up against a powerful guy like Trump. They are too afraid of losing and will snivel to surrender.
Kind of like he though Mitt would win Ohio?
um, how does one “signal” their “intent”? not a fact in this piece of crap anywhere. not an event, a quote, or a source.

I could just as easily write a story called, “GOPe signals it’s intent to embrace Trump” that is just as factless, sourceless, and quoteless.
the author is either pimping clicks to his blog, or he’s a liberal plant and he’s hoping to start trouble.
They will cross-over and vote for Trump because they support him.

This is one of the things that worries me about Cruz.
I like both Cruz and Trump, but if the GOPe pulls that crap like they did in Mississippi, Trump can afford to spend $1 billion or more of his own money to win the election.
If Cruz is the nominee and the GOPe cuts him off in favor of Romney or some other RINO, how will Cruz raise the $1 billion? Sure, millions of people will send him small donations but I don’t believe it will be enough.
Trump’s campaign has brought the GOPe cockroaches out into the light for everyone to see. I will always admire and respect him for that.
The party has no such intention.
Apparently the GOPe wants two things: Civil War and Suicide.
Proof it past time to knock heads and take names
