I am praying the majority of the people see right through this garbage, like my brother says - a year of calling Trump Hitler is never going to fly as all they will be doing is exposing themselves, it’s going to seem utterly ridiculous after a while even to the thickest individual. What I would LOVE to see is Trump go independent and STILL win the Presidency. That would be the closest thing to a full scale rebellion by the people without firing a shot, just the utter and complete rejection of this government and all involved in it, just one huge middle finger to all of them.
As the Reagan campaign developed through ‘79 and into 1980, I began to lose my fear as I realized that RR knew what he was doing and could handle the brickbats and phony outrage.
I don’t feel that secure about Trump at this point, but I am beginning to believe that he doesn’t open his mouth without being absolutely sure he is in the right and can handle the blowback.
