IS Beheading a Sport?
D’ese guys ain’t no stinking mohammedans:
Sandy Koufax, Mickey Mantle, Don Drysdale, Pete Maravich, ‘Daddy” Don Garlits, Shirley Muldowney, Craig Prudhomme, Lou Garigiola, Mark Spitz, John McEnroe, Sam Sneed.
I don’t consider paid performers to be heroes. They may be stars, but not heroes.
Heroes risk their lives unselfishly trying to help others.
That is NOT what football & basketball players, tennis stars & croquet masters do. Race car drivers & bull riders are brave, but they do it for selfish reasons & are not heroes.
Pro sportsmen are out to help themselves, not others.
The saddest part of this crap from Obama is that there are many muslim heroes in this country, mostly veterans. He could have mentioned them.
This reminds me of Britain that, left without military heroes or even honorable men & women, resorted to knighting entertainers. Apparently that they bravely paid their enormous taxes is proof enough of their heroics.
I agree.
There is no such thing as a sports “hero”.
