I can believe it’s a scam. Trained police dogs are expensive. I can’t believe one would be retired and abandoned at the age of six.

This one might be a scam but I have posted at least one situation where a retired K-9 was abandoned by its handler and subsequent adopter. He was eventually saved by a German shepherd rescue in Georgia (I checked their website to confirm).
