There is a good case to be made for petroleum not being a fossil fuel. The Russians and more recently Dr Thomas Gold have made the case that oil is created in the mantle. Methane has been proven by Lawrence Livermore Labs to originate in the Earth’s mantle (and found on a few other planets in our solar system). Nat Gas is 95.2% methane (ethane and propane the 2 other major compounds). Petroleum is liquid nat gas, coal solid form. Methane spews from deep hot vents in the oceans (far below where fossils can be found), from newly formed islands in the oceans and from volcanos. Oil wells that have been dry since early 1900s are filling back up.
Read the comments on Amazon to Dr Gold’s “deep hot biosphere”, or better yet, read the book.
Corsi wrote a book on this, too, but I never read it.
As for being from a fossil...well, some titles never go away, I mean, Indians aren’t from India :)
