You can also copy the text from the source, paste it into Notepad or TextEdit ( straight txt editor), copy again and paste into FR editor. That will strip out all special characters. Pain in the butt, but will work until they figure it out.

I copied my post #21 into a text editor. It results in the line below:
If I copy and past directly from a correctly displaying FR post with “ & ‘, it will convert them to incorrectly displaying characters.

Sound easier than copy/paste, then chasing apostrophes, click-backspace or delete, after which needing to re-type the character at each occurrence within the text.
