For me, it comes down to whether or not Carson has told the truth. I don’t care who exposed it, but the truth needs to come out. If Carson has not been honest, then that’s on him and not those who exposed it. If Carson can be proven to have been telling the truth, then it will rebound on those who were naysayers. Either way, the guy has opened himself to scrutiny by what he said and given that he’s in a presidential race, he’s got to expect that. Just attacking the mainstream media for covering the story is not going to work here, especially not when he is shown in video and in print saying things that are now open to question.
I’ve never been a Carson supporter though I had thought him a decent man, just not up to the job of being President. Now I’m having second thoughts about him on many levels. If he’s open to exaggeration or prevarication, then he’s not trustworthy.
