Renewables for thee, but not for me
California Gov. Jerry âMoonbeamâ Brown believes that everyone needs to start using wind, solar and other ârenewableâ energy sources as soon as possible because, you know, the earth, man. California doesnât need to be burning all kinds of oil and making bank for rich capitalists who own gigantic ranches with oil underneath them, âamirightâ?
Unless, of course, that ranch owner happens to be Gov. Jerry âMoonbeamâ Brown! In that case, well, better find that oil! And thatâs exactly what Gov. Moonbeam was hoping to do when he dispatched state employees, on the taxpayersâ dime, to his ranch recently. Props to the Associated Press, often a target of our criticism, for reporting this story:
Whoa. This is good. I’d love to see Moonbeam hanging on his own petard.
Well duh. He’s got his special elitist “Get whatever you feel like free.” card. Give the guy a break. He’s just tryin’ to get the trains to run on time. Well if they’re ever built. Finding oil on his family property would be donated to help grease the rails. Such a benevolent guy.
There will be blood
Wouldn’t it be a hoot if geologists went out to Moonbeam’s ranch and determined that it sits on one of the largest oil deposits ever found in America? How much of an environmentalist would Moonbeam be then?
Caster Oil
The George Orwell quote is right on.
Just another hypocrite politician.
All of them but us - we’re different
