There’s no shortage of his fan base here on FR though. Some think he’s a modern Crusader.
Here’s what Patton said about Russians, and it still rings true:
“The difficulty in understanding the Russian is that we do not take cognizance of the fact that he is not a European, but an Asiatic, and therefore thinks deviously. We can no more understand a Russian than a Chinese or a Japanese, and from what I have seen of them, I have no particular desire to understand them except to ascertain how much lead or iron it takes to kill them. In addition to his other amiable characteristics, the Russian has no regard for human life and they are all out sons-of-bitches, barbarians, and chronic drunks.”

Since what Putin is doing in Syria
right now arguably IS a modern day
Crusade, then it works for me.

How can Vladimir Putins conservatism be reconciled to his policy of exterminating the Syrian opposition? Putin is not conservative. The "Syrian opposition" is the Muslim Brotherhood

If Putin is a conservative, then the label has lost all meaning. People are being taken for a ride.

As Bob Dylan sang: Times A-Changing! I have read Pattons biography Target: Patton. I am pretty sure he would rethink things today especially after seeing a homosexualist Muslim occupying the White House and Europe welcoming millions of Islamic predators. In this point, Patton would say: Russians are fighting the new Barbarians! I am joining them!
I would join Patton!!

If fighting against Putin is to be a conservative, then the label has lost all meaning. To fight against Putin is appropriate for war-loving neocons. It is not appropriate for a real conservative, especially if he is a Christian. I am a conservative evangelical.

These are just some of the children killed in the airliner that Putin's buddies shot down with Putin's rockets:
My Bible doesn't support terrorist acts like that.

During the Ronald Reagan administration, an Iranian passenger flight was shot down by the U.S. military. All 290 men, women and children on board died. America had and has the most sophisticated high-precision weapons ever, but even so she committed this error. There was no international court to convict the government responsible for this crime. I have always admired Reagan and I consider him the best world president in the last 100 years. But a crime was committed. Contrasting to the Malaysian shootdown, where there is obscure culpability (Russia has BUK missiles? Ukraine has lot of them too!), in the American case there was clear culpability (the Iranian Airbus A300 B2-203 was destroyed by SM-2MR surface-to-air missiles. Only America had such missiles. Iran had none of them). In the 1980s, people called me a paid agent of Americans because I supported all the conservative stances of Reagan, including his wars. But when people questioned how I could support Reagan given the clear U.S. culpability in the scandal of the Iranian civil plane shot down, I had no answer. If you have a case against Putin because of a missile owned by Russians and Ukrainians, why have you not a case against Reagan because of a missile owned only by Americans? You can't save Putin by attacking Ronald Reagan.
The topic at hand is Putin. If he hadn't played an important role in killing those children, I wouldn't have their pictures and they wouldn't be posted here.
And, was it Reagan's fault that Putin had Alexander Litvinenko poisoned?
Your hero is a killer.

To say that Russians are Asians is clearly stupid. I visited Moscow last year and I saw many more blondes there than in Germany, where I saw some blondes and many Muslims (Asians, as you call them). Also, you would see more blondes in Moscow than in New York and Los Angeles combined.

"The difficulty in understanding the Russian is that we do not take cognizance of the fact that he is not a European, but an Asiatic, and therefore thinks deviously." While I agree with General Patton's spirit and patriotism I think that Putin belies the above analysis.
I believe Putin to be just about the most transparent world leader that there is. He is incredibly predictable.
To understand what he will do you have only to ask one question: "What's best for Russia?" And that exactly what Putin will do.
Of course is a perverse sort of way, The Usurper is predictable as well, but the question is different: He asks himself "What's in the interest of my several puppet masters and how can I damage our common enemy - America?"

Now, please, show us the pictures of each man, woman and child in the Iranian flight shot down by the Reagan administration.

I would say that you're treading on very thin ice using your defense of a killer like Putin as an excuse to attack President Reagan. I'm not going to help you hang yourself.
Putin is a killer and an incompetent leader. He and his gangster friends have destroyed the Russian economy and will most certainly screw up anything else he tries to do.

I am not attacking Reagan. What is destroying the Russian economy is the santions YOUR homosexualist Muslim president have launched against Russia. If you want to see an incompetent and oligarchic president, just look at the White House. Just it.
