Kc Royals beat Astros 9 to 6 Just now!
Kansas City here we come!
Hard to believe come from behind but Royals score 5 in the 8th inning and 2 more in the 9th!
Pitcher Wade Davis shut out Astros in 8th & 9th!
He learned everything he knows from when he was with the Rays, as did James Shields. You're welcome.
Glad to see the Royals doing well.
My dad worked on the stadium years ago and I remember all the memorabilia they gave him. We where never sports fans but I secrecrly cheer the Royals. I remember watching the World Series in 85.
BTW George Brett is one of the biggest jerks I have ever met. A total prick.
I have several friends who worked on his house and around him at charitable events and everyone had the exact same experience.
What a meltdown. Perhaps Gov. Abbott jinxed them with his premature Tweet.
The Astros bullpen really sucks.
KC won 95 games during the season, they deserve a Game 5
He must have done it in the 8th inning but Royals fought back like they did last year in the wild card game!
The Royals are truly royal!
BTW George Brett is one of the biggest jerks I have ever met.”
That’s interesting. We went to all the Royals home games for years but moved from there to Texas in 1985. Only players I remember were Freddie Patek and George Brett. Seemed like they were both pretty okay guys but memories fade.
They must like George. KC named an expressway after him, on I-70 I think.
I imagine that does effect him some but never an excuse for shoddy behavior.
I think the Gov has jinxed both the Astros and Rangers.
Yeah. Brett’s a keeper for the city!
Wherever he “learned it” I’m glad he’s with KC and thank you, I think, though I guess you didnt coach him???
Yikes. I had turned it off.
I don't know anyone who calls it that. And trust me, considering what traffic on I-70 is like at rush hour then nobody should have it named after them.
I heard KC had the least batter strike-outs in MLB.
We'll be ready!
KC knocked off Toronto/Cardinals did the same to L.A.
...I remember the L.A. Times(?)headline after the Clark 3 run shot off Niedenfuer in the 9th ..."Dodgers in misery, series in Missouri!"
No, it's just that [my] Rays train pitchers to be great, then trade them away every July for minor leaguers.
All ten teams in the postseason have/had people who originally played for the Rays; it would take a computer program to check, but I wonder if that is true for any other of the 19 teams who ended the season out of the picture.
P.S. I'd love to see KC playing Toronto in the ALCS, but the Rangers may have other plans.
