Well, all I can say is, if Slick Willie DID have mumps, WITH the specified complications, it’s a lead pipe cinch that HE never sired any children. But you don’t need ME to tell you that. Bill Clinton himself, in the links provided throughout this thread, has told the whole world about it.
As Believers, my wife and I have marveled over the years that the Lord’s grace was such that He saw to it that we would have at least one child before the mump situation landed on me. And the bottom line is that I brought the complications on myself, by not obeying the doctor’s orders.
There used to be a character down south; a stand-up comedian of sorts, named “Brother Dave Gardner” who made a career of speaking on college campii (As El Rushbo would express it). As I recall, he was a relatively clean “George Carlin” type of wry philosopher. He also made several LP recordings of his act; one of which, I owned a copy. In that album he said, “I don’t believe there’s any such thing as an accident. I believe that what folks calls accidents, is really just premeditated carelessness.” And I’ve come to think that in MANY cases, Brother Dave was right. If I’m honest about it, I must admit that in the case of the mump complications; I brought it on myself.
And from a selfish perspective, it surely is effective birth control. Once our physician certified that I was firing blanks, my wife quit taking “the pill” and we could enjoy certain activities with wild abandon, so to speak. And since we KNEW that we would only ever have that one child, we were free to lavish nice things on that one child, very differently from my own parents; since I am one of ten children.
The truth is often stranger than fiction.
You write very well you know that? And thanks for sharing the info. I had my doubts about Danny, the supposed half black child of Bill Clinton. I thought maybe that was a fake story planted for him to draw fire away from something else. Chelsea sure looks like her mom and nothing like Bill to me.
