They have to invade elsewhere because they have destroyed most of their fresh water supply.
None of my weapons will be affected by an EMP.
This SHTF and prepper stuff is digging a fox hole in the sand...worse than liberals sticking they’re head in the sand.
Worked for Japan....maybe no one will notice the 500 ships headed this way.....
It would be a wonton act of aggression.
LOL!
I think within 20 years, some country will go back to the moon and we will know for sure.
Just saying.
I sure hope it is us.
The Shy is Falling.... THE SKY IS FALLING!!!!!
This shtf story was not serious. Obviously Jeremiah Johnson has a nice pointy tinfoil hat and does not understand the necessities of a beach landing that would involve 20 million slopes.
Japan didn’t have surveillance satellites tracking their every move.
I think they could get a beach head IF they could get past our navy. But once ashore they would receive hell from the population. There is no way they could support the BH.
Is China Preparing For a Land Of Invasion Of the West Coast Of the United States? And how long before Pat Buchanan and his 'bots claim that it is justified and even desirable?
The Chinese do long term planning... yes, they’re an enemy of ours... but not a stupid one.
Invasion......nah our government will just give all the federal land they have blocked from us and give it to the Chinese as payment on the money we owe them.
Japan wasn’t tracking their moves, we were....and if you think for 1 second that with all the free world ships in the Pacific ocean at the time we didn’t know they were coming you are VERY naive....Roosevelt knew it and allowed it to happen because he wanted us in the war to defeat Japan and Germany and that was the only way to do it.
Thanks for the ping.
The Tripartite Pact only committed its members to an alliance against other nations that initiated war against a Pact member. Nothing required Germany to declare war on the US after Pearl Harbor. You’re saying that Roosevelt gambled the future of the nation on a war the course of which he couldn’t ascertain. And as for the US knowing about the impending attack, we had reason to believe that Japan was going to strike somewhere in the near future. But the expectations were for an attack in the Philippines or SE Asia. Nobody seriously considered a carrier strike against Hawaii, largely due to the prevailing mindset in the US military which considered Japan to be lacking in the capability or the guts for such a bold, complex action. There was no information received by the US which clearly pointed to an attack on Pearl Harbor on 12/7/41. Japanese operation security for the attack was airtight, anyone who didn’t need to know was not informed.
I don't believe that for a second...the Pacific Ocean was alive with international shipping and air traffic...to think that the Japanese fleet could have crossed it without being detected is nonsense....Roosevelt wanted into that war and many pacificists in this country did not. Many of our most important allies were already involved and he knew that they were incapable of carrying the load....Our industrial power was, by far, the most formidable in the world and soon turned into a war machine.
Do you have any idea how much of the Pacific is virtually devoid of human presence, even more so back then? They specifically took a route which kept them away from the established shipping lanes and populated islands. They also enacted a complete communications lockdown, imposing radio silence on the strike force to the point of disabling radio transmitters on all but the planes of the strike leaders. They also had radio operators in home waters simulating the presence of the carriers. And could you please explain how allowing the attack to unfold would ensure war with Germany? Roosevelt has been called many things by many people, but I don’t think anyone ever truly thought he was stupid. Even if Roosevelt knew about it and wanted to let it happen to start a war, the near-annihilation of the Pacific Fleet wasn’t needed. The presence of the Kido Butai that close to Hawaii without any announcement was sufficient cause in itself for a declaration of war. The fleet could have been sent out for a night ambush, thereby turning the tables, or it could have been sent out of the harbor and out of the reach of the strike force. Bottom line, Roosevelt could have gotten his war without sacrificing multiple ships and several thousand men killed and wounded. Given that he was once the Assistant Secretary of the Navy and was a staunch supporter of the service throughout his life I’m rather hard put to believe that he would let its ships and men be sacrificed so needlessly. I guess that it’s easier and less galling to believe in a conspiracy than to accept that our forces were complacent, careless, and significantly underestimated their enemy.
