To: Secret Agent Man

If it gives you a buzz to make a scripture passage say something other than its clearly intended meaning; knock yerself out.

If fire had erupted from the earth, up into the air, and rained down upon the ground, the scripture would have said it that way. God is not the author of confusion.

God is not the author of confusion.

So God did not confuse the languages at Babel? Or He did not throw the armies of the Midianites into confusion in Judges 7? How about when God sends a delusion at the end of times (2 Thes. 2:11). Isaiah 45:7 says God is the God of calamity and brings darkness. God is sovereign, He can do what He wants...
