It's only 'millions.' No biggie, right?
Progressives will tell you that food stamp fraud is basically a problem that doesnt exist. At best theyll admit that, perhaps, there are a few instances where a store sells something to a customer that shouldnt be covered by the SNAP program - but theyll claim those minor transgressions are extremely isolated cases. Theyll regale you with tales of the hard-working poor who hold down two jobs and receive welfare just to make ends meet.
They usually blame the plight of the less fortunate on capitalism and, if theyre feeling really saucy, they might throw in buzzwords like one perenters or banksters.

End it tomorrow. Hungry people can go to a food back.
Typical DIMocRAT store owner. Typical.
There seems to be so much fraud and potential for fraud with food stamps. Give food to the needy through food banks but get rid of these EBT cards, which studies have shown are used at Disneyland, casinos, hotels, and other unapproved use.
Mistakes were made.
When you can buy steak and lobster with an EBT card, is isn't helping someone who is down on their luck, it is redistribution of wealth.
Which is exactly what it is.
I am all for helping people in need. I don’t have a problem if they can buy staples like milk and flour with an EBT card.
I have a problem with steak and lobster, just to name a few things.
Love your profile page.

I'm completely serious.
The fact that these people sold their credits for half shows they obviously did not need the assistance for food.
Thanks, trisham...I have always appreciated your posts and threads...they always seem to be right up my alley and make a connection with me...
Anybody surprised that it’s a highly privileged member of a government certified victim group?
And way too often, at my neighborhood supermarket, EBT card users get into a late model gas-guzzler SUVs that I couldn't afford!
WTF?
The stories of their children being cut down in the drug wars demonstrates the price for their deception; they live in dangerous areas and sacrifice their children for their own laziness/theft...
Unscrupulous people take advantage of every single benevolent opportunity there is. I know a local woman -— single, no kids, full time job -— who goes to the local food bank all the time to get her food, and meat for her multiple pit bulls and 20+ cats. SHE doesn’t see a problem with feeding “free food” to her dogs and cats, or with taking “free food” despite her obvious lack of need. Sadly, people have mentioned this to the food bank, but they don’t want to be “judgmental” and deny her food. Multiply this by hundred of thousands who are told by commercials every day that they “deserve” whatever it is they want -— “deserve” being a relatively new advertising direction that is popping up in more and more ads in the last few years. We have developed a culture of “takers” -— and woe to us if/when the giving ceases.
This is part of my issue with the whole "no child hungry" movement and "25% of our children don't know where their next meal will come from" idea. With all the school breakfast and lunch programs (which continue through the summer months), plus SNAP, WIC, and numerous food charities, the only way kids are going hungry is if their parents are neglecting them or defrauding the system. And you can't fix that problem by throwing more money at it.
No, they’ll fix it (though it isn’t even a real problem) by keeping the children out of the welfare caves for as long as possible. When cities start offering free lunches DURING THE SUMMER, it is obvious.
We are the only country in the world where our underclass has a diabetes/obesity epidemic (including the children).
I think that is so commonplace today; some wealthy towns here in northern NJ have food banks, and I can’t figure out how somebody lives in these exclusive areas and can’t buy food.
As I posted above, we are the only country where our underclass has a diabetes/obesity epidemic.
