To: Shery; Lizavetta; Yo-Yo; stormer

I am wondering about the authenticity of this patch. If it is a local area creation instead of being an official US Army shoulder insignia? Here is The Institute of Heraldry’s website showing all of the patches it has created for the US DoD and civilian organziations under contract in the last six months. These two patches are not shown here:

I called the Army’s Institute of Heraldry and they confirmed that the patch shown in post #10 is an authorized US Army Patch that was created by a member of Operation Inherent Resolved and sent to TIOH, where it was approved for US Army units ONLY. the patch shown in post #13, with the surrounding words is NOT an official patch according to TIOH

GreyFriar, I have no idea what the Heraldry website is or how it’s supposed to work, but I tried searching for my old unit, 366th Tactical Fighter Wing, and it came up with nothing.
