When I was 12 years old I decided I wanted to go to church. My father had a falling out with someone at our Lutheran church , I have no idea what it was about. The only church within walking distance was a Church of Christ about a block away.

I walked down and joined a Sunday School class. Apparently I caught the eye of someone, a lone child at church so I was called into the Pastors office.

He asked why my parents were not with me and told me if I could not get them to join the C of C that they were going to hell. My parents were good Christian people who read the Bible and believed!

I made me so mad I was crying by the time I got home. I never went back and I have had no respect for the C of C ever since.

Sounds like the CoC and the pentecostals and a few others... if you aren’t on board with us you are going to hell.

What I want to know is what makes them so sure they won’t get there before I do?
