You know...I've heard every politician my entire adult life talk about cutting "waste and fraud," but when Trump tells his Ballroom Chairs Story I believe he might actually do it.
We had a great opportunity to make the teeniest dent in this by chopping the Export/Import Bank. Nothing. Cruz voted for it, I think.
No he voted against its reauthorization. That was when he called out McConnell on the Senate floor for being a liar.

Good. But I’ll say again, a leader has to lead. He should be able to put together a coalition of 30 “conservatives” who for one reason or another would have voted against this. Maybe it fails, but if you can get 30 senators on something, you then really have a voice.
