I think the classes (”races”) were based on morphological distinctions. I wonder what DNA can tell us. There has been a lot of mixing, especially in the Americas, especially in the last 50 years. Still, it might be interesting to know. Certainly the Nazis’ “Aryan” theories were nonsense, but what do we really know about the recent evolution of humankind?
