I keep having to explain this to liberals. The Woodward-Bernstein model only works for exposing and hounding Republicans. If a journalist attempts to expose a Dem they get the Sharyl Atkinson treatment.
The young go-getter investigative journalists are a thing of the past. The major networks tell journalists now what to report and how to report it. They don’t need to investigate anything, they just make it up.

If journalism was just about news gathering, we would have a representative for all Americans.
Journalism is not just about news gathering. Journalism is to advance liberalism.
Big time. Even “conservative” Fox News is in the tank.
I won’t watch them now, at all. Completely looking for something now.
This has been an issue forever, but now when even our own media representative is in the tank, there is nobody.

Hillary Fired from Watergate for Lies, Unethical Behavior from Congressional Job: Former Boss
Dan Calabrese’s new column on Hillary Clinton’s past may bring the curtain down on her political future. Calabrese interviewed Jerry Zeifman, the man who served as chief counsel to the House Judiciary Committee during the Watergate hearings, has tried to tell the story of his former staffer’s behavior during those proceedings for years. Zeifman claims he fired Hillary for unethical behavior and that she conspired to deny Richard Nixon counsel during the hearings:
As Hillary Clinton came under increasing scrutiny for her story about facing sniper fire in Bosnia, one question that arose was whether she has engaged in a pattern of lying.
The now-retired general counsel and chief of staff of the House Judiciary Committee, who supervised Hillary when she worked on the Watergate investigation, says Hillary’s history of lies and unethical behavior goes back farther – and goes much deeper – than anyone realizes.
Jerry Zeifman, a lifelong Democrat, supervised the work of 27-year-old Hillary Rodham on the committee. Hillary got a job working on the investigation at the behest of her former law professor, Burke Marshall, who was also Sen. Ted Kennedy’s chief counsel in the Chappaquiddick affair. When the investigation was over, Zeifman fired Hillary from the committee staff and refused to give her a letter of recommendation – one of only three people who earned that dubious distinction in Zeifman’s 17-year career.
Why?
“Because she was a liar,” Zeifman said in an interview last week. “She was an unethical, dishonest lawyer. She conspired to violate the Constitution, the rules of the House, the rules of the committee and the rules of confidentiality.”
Sounds like it is Hillary’s Modus operandi !!!
Can a conservative even get through “journalism” school?
They end up dead like Andrew Breitbart and Michael Hastings.

All it will take, then, is an honest journalist. Those will be harder to find, especially among the beltway press. I bet, though, that there is some hardworking newshound out there, looking to earn the millions that Woodward got, ready to expose the truth.
The so called hard hitting press only show up if the object is a conservative. Liberals are expected to lie and cheat!!!

Where is Deep Throat?
The investigating reporters are there. But, it’s a one way street with them. They investigate, but they investigate republicans a lot deeper, and then, undertake the task of making the republicans scandals into matters of dirty politics, and evil, and sleaze, and greed and dangers to the country.
On the other side, scandals are dismissed as indiscretion and mistakes.
Those investigative reporters are partisans, because, if they were to have gone after the corrupt democrat politicians as heavily as they did Nixon and other republicans, then, Clinton would never have become president and in the least, he would not have finished his first term in office, and Hillary would have been gone from party politics and government a few decades ago, and Obama would not have even been allowed to give his ‘famous’ speech at the democratic party convention which catapulted him into the national scene.
As it turns out, the democrats have been very successful at educating a media which will always protect them from scandals and crimes which would otherwise take them down. Hillary should not even be politicking, and yet, she’s being protected by the news media and her party. She should be in prison, and Bill Clinton should have been in prison decades ago, serving for high-crimes and misdemeanors, including rape, and selling sensitive national secrets to the Chinese.
This is worse than Watergate because this deals with classified and top secret material and the safety and security of our nation.
