It really is disappointing to see all of these supposed conservatives like VDH and others show their true colors.
Well, we’ll see how he deals with the Black Lives Matter debacle when that happens. Its already being set up by the media. Sooner or later they will try to swarm him at an event.
If Trump can turn a spectacle like that around in his favor when it happens-—he’ll go all the way. That’s the last dirty trick the media has in their bag, I think.

I have great respect for VDH but that was just idiotic. I have never seen VDH do a rant, and this one is a doozy.

Apparently.
What they need to be focusing on and blown away by is how popular this guy is and why.
He’s popular because we want someone to take no prisoners, tell it like he sees it.
We may not like the finer (?) points of his rhetoric, but he is saying what the people have been thinking and what they want to hear.
That would be a good topic for a thoughtful column, not this easy piling on of Trump.

Spot on! Trump is appealing because many of us conservatives long for someone who is willing to stand up and fight, and Trump is certainly all that, but he’s not really one of us ideologically. He has a mish-mash of left/right political instincts and really isn’t guided by consistent conservative principles.
