Jews have always done well as trusted advisors to the ruling elite. They see socialism/communism as the perfect system for the masses to be tightly controlled by a ruling elite, so they want to be in that position to be the voice in their ear, or the hands on the levers of power behind the curtain. This is especially true in nations with a nominally Christian majority.
