Got any in NM or AZ?
Ive sold triple-wides that Don Trump wouldnt have much trouble living in.
We used to joke about it because it was AR, but the Govenor of AR lived in one while they were refurbishing the mansion.
IIRC
Yes, Mike Huckabee. We got a lot of mileage out of that.
“Good points, but dont forget when you rent you have a lot less rights from having your premises entered, the cops know this and so do the landlords.”
Legally, I can’t go into a unit unless requested, until the lease is over. I always call in advance and ask when they’ll be home.
Early one Saturday a neighbor called me and told me that a dozen cops with machine guns and an armored car broke into one of my units. It was a gratuitous SWAT raid. There was no reason to break down my door as the paper said three deputies had been there during the day and the couple was so drunk they’d put them to bed. The deputies spotted 48 pot plants 10 inches high. They used that as an excuse to exercise their SWAT and to break down MY door.
Nope, just Wakulla and Leon counties in Fl.
Landlords can enter premises if they believe something needs to be fixed or poses a danger to the renters or other units in the building. Cops can ask landlords to allow them entry into rental units. So can bounty hunters.
Yeah, that would be a big difference between these trailers and actual mobile homes. My mom’s was built in the late 1990s and they have 6 inches on insulation on the outer walls, ceilings and not sure about the floors.
Darn.
The warmth would be good for my back, but I am done with the humidity. It’s too humid for me in KY. You’d have to pick me up with a sponge every night in FL.
Kinda like Odo from “Deep Space Nine”. :)
The cops in Wakulla, Florida do not ask. They break down doors. (They don’t pay for them, either.)
I have a responsibility to my renter not to compromise their security. There is no way I would allow access to anybody.
As for entry when they’re not there; I don’t want even the possibility that they might accuse me of theft. I had a landlord, a former Chicago cop from the good old days when the beat confessions out of people. He went through every drawer and closet. I know this because he asked me about my carefully hidden antique guns.
Airstreams are close to trying to air condition and heat a beer can. Not quite the same but close.
1973 Winnebago Brave.
Our boat is in the marina right next door, Ventura West. I always thought Marina Park was rent not owned. I looked it up. I don’t know of any other mobile homes near the marina.
Might be Oxnard. There are some Expensive Homes with Canals behind them near there that were built in the 1970’s. They are a few Blocks from those as I recall. Can’t remember the name of the development.
The old Owner had agreed to sell the Property to the Tenants, then he tried to back out and raise the Prices that were already agreed to.
It didn’t work out for the Owner in Court. Cost him a whole lot of money for trying to invalidate the original Sales Contract. LOL
Yeah that’s Oxnard. Ok. Had me stumped for a minute. Lol. As a rental community Marina Park is gorgeous. It has its own lake, is really close to the water and depending on where, some of the homes have kind of ocean views. I wouldn’t mind living there at all. I’d rather live on a boat on the water but that would be might next choice.
Sorry about that.
I live in S. OC and don’t get up that way much.
Do you have any idea what Oxnard is named after? LOL
Hmmm.
