Fascinating retelling of the accomplishments of the indispensible Alexander Hamilton.

I think the quote from John Adams should read "bastard brat of a Scotch pedlar." So it isn't entirely accurate because Hamilton's biological father may have been English rather than Scottish?

I have mixed feelings about Hamilton. He did some very fine things for the country and also a number of less admirable things. When John Jay was trying to negotiate a treaty with England during Washington's administration, Hamilton let the British know the minimum terms Jay could accept, thus undermining his ability to negotiate good terms. The resulting treaty was extremely unpopular in the US (but did avert a war with England).

Took a long time to get to his point that there’s something terribly wicked about those who oppose illegal immigrants flooding the country.

Alexander Hamilton and his Federalists (which included George Washington, John Adams, Paul Revere, Noah Webster, Fisher Ames, the Pinckneys of South Carolina, Samuel Chase, Henry "Light Horse Harry" Lee, and even Patrick Henry, among others) were the true Conservatives of the early federal period!

They were succeeded by the Whigs and the Republicans.
