Is This What The First World Cyber War Looks Like: Global Real Time Cyber Attack Map
Zero Hedge ^ | 7/8/15 | Tyler Durden

After a series of cyber failures involving first UAL, then this website, then the NYSE which is still halted, then the WSJ, some have suggested that this could be a concerted cyber attack (perhaps by retaliatory China unhappy its stocks are plunging) focusing on the US. So we decided to look at a real-time cyber attack map courtesy of Norsecorp which provides real time visibility into global cyber attacks.

What clearly stands out is that for some reason Chinese DDOS attacks/hackers seem to be focusing on St. Louis this morning.

Whether this is related to the series of suspicious cyber failures today, is so far unclear, although if there is a connection at least there is a way to keep track of the first global cyberwar in real-time.

from link:

In a pivotal network operations center in metropolitan St. Louis, AT&T has maintained a secret, highly secured room since 2002 where government work is being conducted, according to two former AT&T workers once employed at the center.

In interviews with Salon, the former AT&T workers said that only government officials or AT&T employees with top-secret security clearance are admitted to the room, located inside AT&T’s facility in Bridgeton. The room’s tight security includes a biometric “mantrap” or highly sophisticated double door, secured with retinal and fingerprint scanners. The former workers say company supervisors told them that employees working inside the room were “monitoring network traffic” and that the room was being used by “a government agency.”

Sure....maybe, but why attack a fortress when there are less well defended juicy targets..

Unless of course our counter hacking efforts are concentrated there and it’s the result of a crap throwing contest.

Maybe this?

The National Personnel Records Center (NPRC)

NJVC

US Army Personal Resource Command

(considering that ISIS has been putting it out there that they want to target servicemembers and their families, this might be useful)

Joint National Capital Region (National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency)

Or any of these?

Yup....

Also could explain why we might have a tactical counter hacking facility there.

Yup. Most of the usarmy.mil websites set off my software, too. It’s been like that for years.
