Ambivalent. I’ll bet quite a few Germans felt the same way in the 1930s during national holidays.

” divine Providence”

THE PROGRESSIVES HATE THAT!

THEY would like to BELIEVE that it is they who are in the process of destroying this Nation.. who are the DIVINE PROVIDERS.

GOD Bless America and free us from the TYRANTS

What can we do? I don’t even want to fly the U.S. flag as it depresses me so much. Elections certainly are not the answer.

Any concrete ideas?

Well said, EV.

“A Republic, if you can keep it.”

We have our work cut out for us, EV, and, beyond a conservative sweep in 2016, I have no answers.

When we look back in history, old fashioned justice, swift and without question, was a great deterrent to tyranny. At the same time, maybe it is time to start hanging ‘horse thieves’ again.....

The time has come to deal with the American marxists once and for all.

The CPUSA is very much alive and in full control of the WH, the DOJ, and the Press.

In fact, the CPUSA is responsible for the Hussein Obama rise to the Presidency. His handler is the Iranian communist Valerie Jarrett.

The CPUSA has organized American Blacks, homosexuals, and illegal aliens into their Shock Troop, and have operatives in all Federal Agencies including the FBI and CIA as well as State and Local governments and unions.

Their game is to use the Black , Homosexual, and illegal alien as a means to destabilize American Society, weaken our military, and destroy our educational system, economy and way of life.

The CPUSA is wildly succeeding, not only managing to accomplish their goals but confound the GOP into not even recognizing that they are behind the operation.

In order to eliminate this threat, the CPUSA and those allied with it must be ruthlessly pursued and neutralized no matter where they may be.

No longer bothering to hide and operate in the shadows, they are now out in plain sight and are easy pickings.

Upon regaining power in 2017 the counter attack by the hard Right must be swift and merciless.

Hit the marxists so hard they will never recover or have the ability to win national office ever again.

I wrote my governor senator..asking that they refuse the Supreme Courts unconstitutional ruling and refuse to obey. If Obama Hillary and illegal immigrants don’t have to follow the law or the constitution then we don’t have to follow this ruling.

I'm taking my flag down tonight. I'm not sure when or if I'll put it back up. To borrow a phrase from FLOTUS, for the first time in my adult entire life, I'm ashamed of my country.

We have a new U.S. flag that will have to wait yet another Independence Day for a time of true celebration.

However, for all the previous Independence Days and the reason for them, I will still celebrate and be grateful to all, military and civilian, who made the United States of America possible. Mostly, I am grateful to God who blessed us for a little while with a great nation. May this nation repent and beg for His blessing again, because only His grace and mercy can restore us.

I’m mourning. Not doing a thing but engaging in a memorial observation for the late great United States of America.

I heard the national anthem being sung on the radio while I was out at lunch today, “o’er the land of the free” was sung with such gusto and I thought, “what a farce”.

We aren’t free anymore. We are slaves to regulations and laws. We are compelled to buy insurance and pay taxes at constantly increasing rates when wages are not going up at all.

So sad. So hopeless.

I weep for the men who died for freedom and the republic. I weep for my family members who died in service to our ideals and I weep for my son who is giving the very best years of his life in service to a dying country increasingly populated by disrespectful ingrates and such a deceitful, and despicable government.

In memoriam. In mourning for what was and is now destroyed.

Will it be rebuilt? Can it be rebuilt? I am doubtful.

If I said what I was willing and able to do, I would probably have the Feds at my door in the morning....

It’s best that I leave that as one of those things that you find out when the party starts.

“In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A Prince whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.”

It appears we have come full circle, the last elections have meant nothing substantial, instead of a STOP sign, they’ve become rubber stamps, sigh.

last stance from the Longfellow’s Paul Revere’s Ride:

So through the night rode Paul Revere;

And so through the night went his cry of alarm
To every Middlesex village and farm,-—
A cry of defiance, and not of fear,
A voice in the darkness, a knock at the door,
And a word that shall echo for evermore!
For, borne on the night-wind of the Past,
Through all our history, to the last,
In the hour of darkness and peril and need,
The people will waken and listen to hear
The hurrying hoof-beats of that steed,
And the midnight message of Paul Revere.

My flagpole is empty this morning...first time in about 50 years. Seeing MY flag flying above THEIR rainbow “White” House was the final straw. The flag no longer represents MY values. ...and to the Republic, for which it STOOD.

We can pull out of this death spiral but it won’t be easy.

First — True the vote. Voting must be absolutely honest and clean. I’m still not convinced that Obummer won his reelection without massive fraud and cheating. Voting is for citizens ONLY and any hint of fraud must be savagely prosecuted and punished. Voter ID is a good place to start. (I’d also burn down the warehouse that holds the electronic voting machines, just because.)

Second — Vote. Staying home silences the only voice you have.

Third — Keep your elected man’s feet to the fire. The Framers gave us a unique new form of government, rarely seen in human history, where the people chose their own leaders. Amazing! But we’ve given the actual work of governance to politicians, because they’re the only ones willing to endure the humiliation inflicted by the press and the brain-numbing work. If we’re not willing to hold office, then we had better watch those we choose to do so.

And if our elected officials fail to represent the wishes of the majority, no punishment is too harsh. Use your imagination.

That is how elections are supposed to change things. And if the changes still aren’t enough, then the Second Amendment is our last resort. Pray to God that it doesn’t reach that point.
