Hail, heavy rains pound Sierra Vista

SIERRA VISTA Tuesdays storm dropped marble-sized hailstones and more than an inch of rain on many parts of Sierra Vista, flooding streets and contributing to a rollover injury accident near the airport.
It was just after 7 p.m. when Sierra Vista police received a report of a single-vehicle rollover on Highway 90 near Airport Road.

Actually, I liked Sierra Vista. High desert, beautiful hills to the south, occasional roadrunner...
Yuma, on the other hand... yegawds, I HATED that place. Spent an entire August there at the Proving Grounds, never again. It may not have been Hell, but you could see it from there.

I’m about 50 miles north of Sierra Vista. We had hail up to 1 inch in diameter. Happily, the wind direction meant my car was sheltered by my house. We had a lot of dead birds in the backyard and surrounding desert the next day.
