I had a feeling this is what happened. He didn’t tell anyone he was leaving because he went out to buy some drugs, then he either got caught by terrorists or was lured into a trap by his local drug connection.
I don’t like the war on drugs, but users have no business being soldiers.

He’s an odd duck. He was homeschooled by liberal Christian hippies and lived in a Buddhist monastery for a while. He was rejected by the Coast Guard after some undefined psychological problem. Perhaps he thought he’d be some kind of social worker with a gun.
The fact that six patriots died looking for this drug head is a disgrace and then the five big-time terrorists the King swapped makes this even more of a national disgrace. And, the talking heads can’t understand why We The People are big-time pissed at politicians in DC. OMG, we are living in the Twilight Zone of Political Insanity.
