A Trade Pact helps country with lower wage costs. It makes it easier for them to export stuff to higher wage countries.
Trade Pacts also help corporations because they can move the factory to the lower wage cost country and then import the goods without tariffs. Just observe how many corporations have shifted factories to Mexico. With TPP, factories will move to the Pacific rim countries.

There was a chart posted, here, recently that showed how much Mexico’s economy has increased and their unemployment has decreased....as compared to our same rates. We’re supporting 29 (or more)% of their people...and they get the benefit of JOBS in Mexico. Wow...what’s not to love?
