After losing a lot of elections to Democrats because Republicans purists sat out....the GOPe got the message....if ya want to win.... be more like the Democrats.....

I don't see that. Seems to make no difference to these guys if they are in a majority, minority, voted in, voted out. I think many of them---like Portman of OH, or Toomey of PA---lose a house race or senate primary and just come back next cycle and maybe get lucky (as both did).
I don't have the answer. The Tea Party---NOT the establishment---put in Cruz Ernst, Ayotte, Toomey, Cotton, and two or three other of these guys. Then they support Zero. Don't know what more we can do.
