Worth revisiting, especially now:

If you didn’t see it before, pay attention all the way to the end.
Yep.
I heard a wise man once opine:
you gotta know when to hold ‘em
know when to fold them
know when to walk away
know when to run
Wish we lived in a society where it wasn’t so, but he made the smart move before he was dragged through lawfare hell.
Can McKinney hire THIS guy?!
In the space of a half-hour news broadcast, I think I saw the video 4-5 times. That was totally uncalled for. The media is pressing the police as bad guys .. and some of them will break from the stress of that type of job.
You have a point, but back to that black girl. She certainly was resisting arrest, but what was she being arrested for in the first place?
One could say it was for failure to disperse. There were lots of folks, black and white, just standing around. But on the video I saw (I know there are others), that girl is the only one that went down to the ground. And she was chosen because she was mouthing off. I'm sorry, but I don't see that as a reason to single her out. That sort of thing can actually start a riot, not prevent one.
Now if she was throwing something, or destroying property, or on private property, that would be another thing. But as it was, she should have been moved along with the rest of the group once more officers arrived.
But as I noted before, I don't see this as a big deal either way. And certainly not a reason for the cop to lose his job.
A few days ago there was a police involved shooting of a man with multiple knives who refused to drop them in Hartford. The press was gleefully reporting the man who was shot was black and dammit so was the cop. The officer was smart in this case and keeps his radio mic keyed while he was telling the guy to put it down, we just want to talk, etc.
Tell ya what you cut her a chk its a war out there right now anyone one of those feral humans could and would have poped a cap in his a$$
She mouthed off at the cop, didn’t obey him and thats what got her arrested. Guess the cop wasn’t feeling generous that day to put up with that.
Yep, just a few hours ago a Houston cop or thereabouts got shot in the back from a passing vehicle while he was doing a traffic stop.
Whatever emotional state he might have been in, his actions on that video appeared to be practiced and correct. He defused an imminent very bad situation without killing or injuring anyone. It does not appear that he pointed the gun at anyone. He unholstered it and held it down. He showed it to the two guys who were advancing rapidly toward him. They took the hint and retreated. He reholstered then the gun. It would seem that the MSM including Fox News are trying to say that he was obliged to allow the two guys advancing on him to kill him if that was their intent. The excuses being made “for” his actions are accusations just as much as the gasping indignation that he “pointed his gun at two unarmed teenagers.” His “friends” are saying he is excused because he was out of his mind for the moment. That is not indicated by the video at all.
Even his own attorney kept referencing his emotionalism during his hysteric actions and chaotic behavior.
Mark Furhman says that he did everything wrong, including getting himself in a situation where he couldnt help the other officers.
Mark Furhman cant understand the cops actions.

His actions on the video do not appear to be emotional or chaotic but rather practiced and correct. He was alone faced by hostiles on both sides. He managed to improve a dangerous situation without hurting anyone. The young girl in the bikini, from other information, was being obstreperous and defying the officer. Had he backed off from her his situation likely would have become thereby rather more dangerous. He was at that point alone. His treatment by the mayor will ensure that McKinney suffers now the Baltimore syndrome wherein police are afraid to deal with colorful criminals because their boss will throw them to the wolves in order to look good himself.
Though I tend towards Leaning Right’s view of the event, I agree with you on the gun part. He was in a crowd and pulled his gun as there were several people around him. When I first heard of this I expected the tape to show him pointing his gun at kids, that did not happen.
His problem is that he slammed an obviously unarmed kid in a bikini to the ground when he could not have observed her breaking the law. The police have more powers when they observe someone breaking the law than they do when the come up upon a situation where someone claims someone else broke the law. As far as observing her trespassing, he would need to know that she was not a resident nor invited tot he pool.
BTW, I am not interested in his excuse in the least bit. If he can not handle the two traumatic call and maintain his composure on the third call, he does not have what it takes to have a badge, gun and the authority that goes with the job. It is a great thing that he resigned, his excuse just says he is not cut out for police work.
LOL, the whole reason he resigned is because the world witnessed him going totally nuts.
He has apologized for going nuts and his lawyer explained that all the emotionalism was because of the emotional day that he had before the breakdown that was taped.
The whole story is that he kept escalating everything and was out of control.
You are just spewing total nonsense, to simply reverse everything and have him being calm, cool, and professional, is totally absurd.
Even his own lawyer doesn’t pretend what you are pretending. Watch the interview with her.
All the other cops did just fine.
Are bonfire and mrs ippi the same person?
What video have you been watching?
This one gets around. “It” was claiming to be from Pittsburgh a little while ago. The born on date is a definite lightening rider.
If he had just waited for back up, before dealing with any of it, I wonder if he would still be called a racist, for not trying to break it up by himself?
I agree the officer was going over the top with the profanity. But, notice that, in the video, the officer tells the boys to sit down and the girls to go home. The 15yo girl could've walked away. Instead, she decided to mouth off at the officer. (Growing up, I knew boys who were arrested for mouthing off at cops.)
Imagine if, instead of a 15yo girl in a bikini, the officer had been trying to arrest a 15yo boy who'd just mouthed off at him. Imagine that 15yo boy resisting arrest. Would everyone be so appalled then? I wonder.
Last week, two police cars rushed past me on the road. As I drove past where they'd stopped, they had a boy, who appeared to be no older than 12-13, in handcuffs and were loading him into a cruiser. He was wearing basketball shorts, and they were searching his shorts. He was much smaller than the 15yo girl in the McKinney video, but he was the calmest, coolest boy I ever saw. It looked like just a normal day for him. I don't know what he did, but he didn't appear upset at all.
Technically correct, however he was right on the edge, and the full circumstances should be illuminated.
