Well how do you control a herd of animals without rough tactics? It all comes down to that. Look at Balt, Chitown, South Central, Philly and any number of like areas. Words don’t work when you have people that are trained by the liberal Pavlovs to go feral whenever ‘dissed’ (when ‘dis’ = giving a legal command to mellow their asses out).
It’s all well and feel-good to want to anthropomorphize feral humans and pretend they are just like normal people. They are not. Thats why they are feral. They do not see good and evil, right and wrong as you or I do. It is a case of category error to believe otherwise.
No one likes thinking about it and the words are ugly. But they are true words. And shying away from admitting the problem is why it grows worse. It doesn’t matter if that feral is midnight black or Lilly white. You don’t don kid gloves or bring them to poetry recitals. You treat them according to their actions. When you have a body of evedence pointing to them being a danger to themselves, to you and to the neighborhood, you don’t go through an escalating 12 step program of increasing force. You gain immediate compliance before THEY go from zero to 1000 and burn another city down while you (the cop) contemplate white privlege and cultural differences.
Not too long ago I thought like you do. There was a place for that method. It is not ‘wrong’. Just wrong right now. Maybe once we get control of America back, there will be for it again. But not until.
I don’t think we’ve gotten that out of control. But some police officers do over-step.
Seattle has had a lot of crowds of rioters over the last decade or so, and I don’t support them, but the police haven’t been held out as not being able to control things without killing people. There are many many many neighborhood parties all over this country every damned day that police are called to where they aren’t slamming kids to the ground. Those aren’t reported on because they were handled appropriately. How much police brutality have you heard about following sports crowds getting out of hand and burning cars and stuff like that? The people who are out of control are dealt with and people didn’t die or get injured by police when there wasn’t cause for it. It happens thousands of times a day in this country, and when situations do go bad, it is worthwhile to look and see if police played a part in it getting worse.
