I loved watching Dany ride Drogon. That was awesome!

But to address the scene of Shireen.

That isn’t something that occurred in the books, at least not yet so, it is difficult to comprehend where that is leading.

Assuming that what we saw was real and not some sort of glamour, which is a possibility though not likely I think, the character of Stannis has moved to the dark side.

He has snuffed out the only bright light in his life, and he will suffer as a result and should.

He failed to realize that he is in the company of a ghoul, Melissandre, and in his lust for power, he consumed all that was good in him.

I expect that he will die at the hands of Ser Davos, one of the very few truly good characters in this world.

I find it hard to believe that what we saw was real, however, for a couple of reasons.

Firstly, in the books there are clear examples of things occurring that are not what they appear to be, and those things involve Melissandre. Perhaps that is the case here, but there is no way for me to know at this time.

Secondly, if what we saw happen tonight is real and this is the true Stannis, then he has revealed himself to be even worse than Ramsay Bolton, and that is a long, long way to fall.

So I will be interested to see if in fact Stannis is the darkest man in all of Westeros. I hope that isn’t the case.

That was a very tough scene to watch.

Davis won’t kill his King. Best he could do is resign and leave.
