Nancy Osborne, a second-grade teacher with Taylor School District in Wayne County, is quoted in an Internet "meme" on the Taylor Federation of Teachers Local 1085 union website.
The meme says: When all schools are funded according to the needs of their students Then well talk testing & accountability.
ForTheRecord says: According to the Michigan Department of Education, the Taylor School District received $10,548 per student for operations in 2013-14. That includes local, state and federal money, and is $1,400 more per student than the state average of $9,121.
Now, about that accountability
She can ask her union officials where the money is.
Since when do employees dictate to their employers how and when they will be held accountable?
Since unions.
There will never be enough money to be held accountable. Who says when there is enough money for every student?
