GOP poll: Clinton losing in battlegrounds
The Hill ^ | May 14, 2015 | Jonathan Easley

Hillary Clinton trails a generic Republican presidential candidate by double-digits among voters in six key battleground states, according to a new poll from the GOP firm Vox Populi.

The survey, conducted on behalf of the conservative super-PAC American Crossroads, found an unnamed GOP candidate taking 51 percent support among voters in Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Nevada, Ohio, and Virginia.

Clinton takes only 41 percent support among voters in those states, according to the poll.

The survey found Clinton’s favorability rating deep underwater, with 40 percent having a positive view of the former secretary of State against 53 percent who said they view her negatively.

In addition, 52 percent of voters in the battleground states said they don’t trust Clinton, and the same percentage said they don’t share her values.

Fifty-eight percent said they agree with the notion that Clinton will “say or do anything” to get elected president, while only 35 percent said they disagree.

"This poll shows that the Clinton campaign’s 'Hide Hillary' strategy isn’t working and may in fact be backfiring,” American Crossroads president and CEO Steven Law said in a statement.

“Clearly the conflicts and ethical concerns raised by the Clinton Foundation morass are real to voters and her failure to address them is negatively affecting how voters feel about Hillary.”

Voters were split on whether Clinton “represents the past, not the future,” with 42 percent saying they agree and 42 percent saying they disagree. A majority of voters, 52 percent, said the prospect of casting an historic vote for the first-ever woman president would not influence their decision in 2016.

The Vox Populi poll of 1,698 active voters in Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Nevada, Ohio and Virginia was conducted between May 7 and May 9 and has a 2.4 percentage point margin of error.

Twenty-seven percent of voters polled identified as Democrats, 30 percent as Republicans, and 32 percent as Independents.

She is toast. The media is trying its best to save her. Fox is showing us also too many polls about Jeb and Hillary.

I'm not too sure about this one.
You have to figure, With 270 electoral votes need to win, Hillary goes in with in her pocket. Jeb has maybe 150 or so. With only 150+- in his pocket and only about 50% Republican diehards voting for him.
Say hello President Hillary, First Lady Chelsea and First Rounder Bill.
I think I am going to puke.

Hillary’s numbers are a fraud. Polls are fixed right now. You can not trust the polls at all.

I have said for some time that I think ANYONE can beat Hillary, which is why we need to nominate a conservative. I'm still Cruz #1, but Rubio's CFR speech was Reaganesque, awesome, and I have him in a tie for #2 with Walker despite his questionable immigration stance.

Some of the best news is that Jeb continues to flounder.

Been saying this for months. She’s a terrible candidate. Nobody wants to vote for her.

The fact that she has 41% of anything except the “Most Corrupt” poll is disheartening.
The coasts will all vote D in 2016 regardless of candidate.
The simple fact that these non-thinking a$$hats hate conservatives so much is simply disgusting.
God help this country.

Her book sales are directly proportional to her popularity. Just sayin.

Not so sure I would believe this poll. It is Karl Rove’s baby and run by nothing but RINOs.

The partisan mix is skewed - too many GOP, too few Dem to represent the expected mix in the election.

The media wants a Jeb and Hillary match up to neutralize the dynasty label on Hillary so she can split the difference as the first woman president.
