It would be one thing if this person was just some blogger, but this person is a teacher at NYU. What sort of dreck is being stuffed into students’ heads at some phenomenal tuition rate? No wonder the nation is in the mess it is in.

In possibly the dumbest article to ever be written No, I think the Australian Broadcast Company article circulating yesterday about how parents reading to their kids creates an unfair advantage and therefore parents should stop it claims that title.

Huh. I learned that when I was the one always answering the questions. Gotta give the other kids a chance to figure it out. Even if they do take all day to do so.

I went to a traditional Catholic school back in the 50s and 60s, and this wasn't true even then and in that environment. It hasn't been true in the vast majority of schools for 50 years, and was probably never true in many schools.
