I’ve read they make their own parts when needed. The fact that they come from Cuba would make them more valuable. The question is would they trade them to you for a new Neon or other tiny new car.

I would not think that it takes much more than a lathe to make most parts. The old car were very simple compared to the crap we drive now. BTW, I bet the EPA would not let you bring these old cars here without very expensive modifications. Remember when DHS agents raided that lady’s house and seized her 1985 Land Rover Defender because of clean air act emissions standards?
