While I agree that it likely doesn’t mean what the proponents says it means, it probably doesn’t mean what the author of this peace means.
It likely has to do with the variation of homosexuality that exist: lesbianism, homosexuality, transexualism, etc.
I’m not sure I buy this, although who knows? Certainly, before the AIDS crisis, the West Village was overflowing with cloned gay men with colored bandanas sticking out of the back pocket of their jeans. We all knew what the colors meant. But the rainbow flag is also used in European peace movements.
It’s a mockery of the sign God gave to Noah that he would not again destroy the world for the sins of man (of course, there was Sodom and Gomorrah later).
There is a concerted effort to defile anything that is related to Christianity. Christ’s birth (Santa Claus); Easter (Easter Bunny); Rainbow (homosexual marriage); Marriage (Fornication, perversion, & adultery); the Cross (Salvation); Creation (Evolution); Sanctity of life (abortion, euthanasia)
Where is the church?
Leftist, progressives, commies, islamists, nazis.... Co-opting language and changing its meanings is always part their agenda.
Yep, it's a gay wedding.
I thought they flew a “multiracial” flag because they claimed homosexuality was an ethnicity.
Riddle me this...
...what is that stupid “De Colores” that ALSO uses rainbow colors?
It makes me mad just thinking it’s yet another concession to ...uh....Latinos. Yeah, Latinos. Mexicans.
I’m a flag nut, have many early flags and fly them every day. I always thought the rainbow flag was one of the prettiest...amazing it stands for what I consider ugly. This “movement” has turned many beautiful things into ugly...the Episcopal and Presbyterian churches, marriage, morals, etc. The beauty of the rainbow flag is the perfect symbol for the movement...something of amazing beauty representing something very ugly.
