I think the regulation of Alcohol needs to be tightened up, and I think Tobacco needs to be slowly strangled out of existence, which is exactly what is currently happening.
Tobacco especially leaves behind a massive legacy of dead bodies and shattered lives. Alcohol only kills about 85,000 people per year, and I figure we can put up with those losses.
As with many other drugs, the people who get started on tobacco have no idea what they are getting themselves into until it is too late.
