The Sultan in Washington is intent on reversing our incipient reversal. Look for oil production to be pretty much shut down irreversibly by the EPA in the next 18 months with Gope assistance and Conservative hand wringing.

Thankfully, it does not have to be this way anymore. America has its own massive reserves of clean, abundant, and relatively inexpensive energy. This energy will continue to create jobs in the U.S. and, most importantly, these domestic sources of energy have the power to dramatically reduce our dependency of foreign imports.

Indeed. I seem to recall the Department of Energy was created to end our dependence on foreign oil. If so, it failed and continues to fail.

Indeed, the Federal Government has failed at this with a good portion of it, consisting of a particular political party, actively supporting that failure. And gee look at Obama, the leader of that particular political party, toadying up to the Saudis who lead the worldwide oil based extortion of the United States.

This is the same Obama who has placed an amazing amount of our oil resources off limits and who also works to ensure we cannot build pipelines to transport any new sources. Thus he continues siphoning money out of our pockets into the Saudis' treasury.

Obama and his ilk have opposed every possibility of American energy independence. And his bowing, scraping "visit" to the new Saudi monarch is a blatant statement of his true allegiance.

Liquid Fluoriade Thorium Reactors powering Coal to Liquids conversion plants. These plants are supposed to be viable at an oil price of $35 per barrel. Excess electricity can be sold to the grid as well. Further, other precursor chemicals can be produced by these plants.
