Yes he would have. And with his having Starr, Taylor and Hornung all at full throttle, (circa 1958-’66 or thereabouts)......Lombardi had the greatest Off. backfield ever in my opinion.

It would be hard to argue against that. Now mistakes are hurting the Colts.

Lombardi also had one of the greatest offensive lines of all time paving the way for the guys you mentioned. In the trenches are where the games are won, a team can have great running backs and a great quarterback, but if the OL sucks that team will not win many games.
