I'm in North Dakota, grew up on the Rez, and I know plenty of "Injun" families who have sent fathers, brothers and sons, sometimes in the SAME family, to defend your right to talk like sniggering dips--t bigots.

I've paid attention to you guys since I got here--long after you, it is true--and I would have expected better from both of you.

I have defended their rights too. As did my father and my brother. And countless others in my family. Including a few who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

And, as far as that goes, we have defended YOUR right to hyperventilate like a thin-skinned humorless prig.

Do you expect better from the NDN brethren? That should be the focus of your ire. Some seem a disgrace to the race, maybe the 10% who shame the 90.

Did I say all Indians were bad, or did you jump to a conclusion? And is there not a crime and alcohol problem on the Rez? And were the mugshots in the story not Indians? I’m tired of apologizing and being called names for telling the truth.
