I totally agree. There’s likely to be additional benefit from removing the urban cultural lionization of firearms. Carrying a, “9,” can’t be that gangsta if all the law-abiding squares on your block do it as well.
Since most of the crimes against blacks are perpetrated by blacks, It would seem that more legally armed blacks would be something of a deterrent against being victimized.
It appears that the police are more successful at disarming those blacks carrying legally than they are the black criminals. Some irony in that.
