The problem is in militarized police, the way they serve warrants, confiscations, and it goes all the way through the law enforcement food chain and the justice/legal system.
We could legalize drugs right this second, and it doesn’t change that.
Don’t hijack our efforts to fix policing and government, by turning it into yet another push for dope.
By all means then lets keep prosecuting a 100 year old war that amounts to a domestic Vietnam that has never stopped the flow of drugs into the country, keeps prisons filled up with minorities, doesn’t do a damn thing to keep drugs out of the hands of kids and makes criminals rich and corrupts cops, judges,, and has major banks and financial institutions getting their cut for laundering the money. Yup, a winning strategy all the way around.
