“One thing that always gets me about Dr. Oz is how he says things like “Every overweight person I see in my practice has heart trouble.” Well duh! The man is a heart surgeon! I’d bet every NON-overweight person he sees has heart trouble too. You know, because that’s sort of why they’re there.”

A friend who practiced medicine for years said all he saw were sick people. Well, duh !

There was an elderly woman I met a few years ago and I found her insistance on stopping everything going on so she could watch Dr. Oz alarming... and sad. Worse was how “Dr. Oz says” were 3 words you could not escape in EVERY conversation... often with the intent of trying to shame me to modify my tastes or behaviors. Projection. Straight projection. Liberal tactic next to none.

Yeah, that “One Weird Trick” gets you half an hour of promises that if you watch it to the end, they will tell you what the “One Weird Trick” is, then they try to sell you something that will magically fix your problem.
