While I wholeheartedly agree with Ms. Miller, it seems like the 2% have thoroughly routed the 98% and the federal judiciary is settling the matter in every state. I hate to say this, but the cause is lost. We are running the biggest social experiment in the history of all mankind. Unfortunately, none of us will be around in 100 years to see how it turns out. Or perhaps I should say “fortunately.”

Yes, I would say, “fortunately.” Although no one likes the thought of dying, this world is going to get unimaginably dark before the Lord’s return, and we likely wouldn’t want to be here to see Sodom West fully realized.

Prior to the early 1800s....there was no license mechanism in the US, no real way to recognize marriage by a state, and the only mechanism in existence throughout the 13 original states was a religious ceremony where you’d be noted in some Bible as “united” or “married”. I don’t see a problem in going back to this, and just admitting it’s not the state’s job to manage stuff like this. If someone wants a civil union certificate...pay $10 at the county clerks office and your property stuff is all fixed up. Otherwise, I think we are wasting a lot of frustrations on something that simply wasn’t the government’s business or obligation. We knew that in 1789.
