The thing about ‘gay marriage’ is that the people and entities that will be punished by the state for disagreeing will be visible and able to complain. So maybe there will be more of a ruckus created and a political will for a governor to do something. The victims of abortion don’t even get a chalk outline, and even if it wasn’t 99.999999% fatal they couldn’t complain about it for years after they survived.
But really I just can’t picture a governor willing to do something like this for ‘gay marriage’ while not one ever bothered with doing it for abortion.

Yes, abortion is horrific, and no, the Court had no authority to “legalize” the murder of pre-born babies. Yes, it’s a slim shot that the states will stand against the courts on the matter of same-sex marriage, but our very freedoms are at stake here. Murder is horrific, and it may well be that we are going to pay the price for our national sin by losing our freedoms to the homosexualist movement.
